    A regular PITA.
One of the times I was pulled over a couple of years back, after the breath, license and rego check, we chatted for half an hour about diseases of the aged.

    Yeah.
I do want to arrive at work this side of christmas though.

Up here the speed limit is 80, but if you pass the plods at 140 and wave, they will wave back.

They worry about the important stuff, like the next road block for their Xmas fund.
By all means get a Defender. If you get a good one, you'll be happy. If you get a bad one, you'll become a philosopher.

Well, a little over a year ago I was stopped by the police. The incident was mentioned in this thread
    http://www.aulro.com/afvb/general-ch...ml#post2054543
basically, the police constable threatened to shoot me and later advised I was pulled over because I had a bent number plate, She also interrogated me in depth as to the registration status and ownership of the vehicle and trailer.

    Well. Wouldn't you believe it.
I was pulled over by the same cop in the same area a little over a year later.
She wasn't interested in the registration of the car.
She wasn't interested in the registration of the trailer.
She didn't care who they belonged to.
She didn't want to shoot me.
    and
She couldn't give a **** about the numbar plate which is sporting a few extra battle scars since last we met.

All she was interested in was me blowing into her machine.

Well. That was a completely different experience.

I was tempted to compliment her on her attitude change but didn't want to push it.

Try driving an FPV F6. I will see a cop car at the lights heading the other way and make bets on whether it will do a U Turn and pull me over. They look a little confused when they see the baby seats in the back.
I was chatting to a mate recently about the demise of the Aussie car industry and how sad it was that Dept Of Defence bought thousands of Klugers not Territories and Cops are now driving Hyundais. He said you don't have to stop if they are not in a Falcon or Commodore. Don't know how that will work out for him. It is tempting in the F6. I don't think they will catch me in their Hyundais or Hiluxes.
