    Climate change? what climate change?

Lucky most of the deniers will be dead by the time it hits the fan, I guess. For the deniers, that is. Bob

I’m pretty sure the dinosaurs died out when they stopped gathering food and started having meetings to discuss gathering food

A bookshop is one of the only pieces of evidence we have that people are still thinking

So if you aren't a denier then you won't be dead? I'll take that deal....climate change is real.

I don't think any one actually denies climate change, if they do then they are denying 4.5 billion years of history. The actual question is whether humans are adding to it??

And the real answer is it doesn't matter which is true, BUT we humans have to change the way we do things or the planet as we know it is doomed because of the almost pathological obsession with consumerism - and I for one want my grand kids to grow up and enjoy life as I have.

Adults can have these discussions, without drama, children can not. Bob

Well, couple month ago I started a thread "Are we going down the gurgle?"
without any political reference and people complained that was political.
The same apply to threads about the boat people started by me and others and again people blamed me because the topic become political.
Bob, people that complained about that threads (for adults ) said that they cannot helped themselves to participate to defend their belief.
Do not get me wrong Bob, I like this topics with exchange of views but I am confused with the lack of consistence regarding which type of topics are allowed.

    Dullbird, please help!!

It can be troubling when people start squabbling and won't see reason when good-humoured discussion should be possible on an important issue, so maybe we should just let things be. Let's talk about religion instead!

We had one that ran for hundreds of posts only a few months ago. I went to have a look to see exactly how many but it appears that the thread has been deleted.
    Dave.

I was asked " Is it ignorance or apathy?" I replied "I don't know and I don't care."
