Thread: Auspost tracking, just hopeless

Double post

A parcel I sent to Al Riddell in Melbourne on the 1st Aug, is still shown as in Chullora, NSW despite having been delivered to Al.

Bloody hopeless.

It's getting worse. It's on it's way to be delivered.

Some how, I don't think Lyons, NT is in the delivery area for Fyshwick ACT.



Hopeless.

In contrast, I ordered some goods from Malaysia on Thursday afternoon. Package was on my doorstep Monday morning.

Not even enough time to track the parcel.

My sis in Mackay Qld, sent rather large parcel by AP. cost $170 postage and $36 insurance ($2000) registered, tracking number etc, MUST be signed for by receiver. 14 days later parcel arrived dumped in front of my series 2a in front of my roller door, in the rain, no one home. No card. No signature. Very valuable contents as insured. Complained to AP. No response. Didn't care that I hadn't signed for it. Say they got a signature. I said how did u do that when there was no one home and I live alone?? They said they would check into it. Spoke to the nice PO lady few days later, found that courier driver was signing for everything and was just leaving parcels at the doors. He no longer works for the courier company. Thank goodness my parcel didn't go missing as it was Marklin railway set and other stuff from my Fathers Estate.

Oh Ps. ordered some dvds from NZ and some from Melbourne the same day. NZ arrived second day. Melb took 17 days. they sent my parcel by Fastway couriers to PERTH by mistake. Sent back to Melbourne, then sent on to Adelaide again and I finally received the parcel. Q. why "Fastway" when they send by slowest means?? (train freight)...

I was always getting registered parcels delivered when no one home & either being left on foot parth in front of mail box or in front yard . I complained to the toothless tigers ( A.P.) was told they had signeture so end of story. I even came home one day & found a large parcel sitting on the roof of my wife's Citroen. I have now changed my Ebay delivery address to my PO Box

Well I after completing 2 web contact forms, one for a general inquiry and then one to say my parcel hasn't arrived, I contacted Auspost via phone. They have told me my parcel was directly wrongly from Sydney, the error was found in Fyshwick and my parcel has now been forwarded on to the NT.

They had no excuse but they tried to tell me my parcel would only be one day later than normal. I don't know how they figure that as my parcel would have been her Monday if it went correctly.

Bloody Australia post. We must be getting close to being third world postal service.

Something else that annoyed (cant use other words her on the forum) me is it was sent Express Post but after it has reached the wrong location, it will only be sent standard post to my location.
