I'm looking for one of these, or some parts from one. Each year I enter an event called the Scrapheap Adventure Ride which is a charity event to raise funds for Down Syndrome NSW, and this year I'm riding one of these bikes, but it needs some TLC. So, if you've got one, or know of one for sale please let me know.


The rules for the ride are pretty simple: buy a bike for less than $1000 get in on the road and get sponsorship to raise funds. Then this year we're riding to Nymboida NSW. Previously we've ridden to Wanaaring, Cameron Corner, Kosciusko and Hungerford QLD and have raised about $270,000 along the way.


It's a 1969 Honda GL 175 twin cylinder ag bike. It's very similar to a CL 175 or CL450 (the road going versions). If you know of any of these, most of the parts are interchangeable. Obviously this is for a charity event, so very cheap, or free is preferred.
