Hi all, Gaz69 has a thread going in the Tech chatter section on Cooper S/T's, these tyres have covered around 100000km's, and not quite up for renual. Check that out. Matt
I also had Kumo's on my old 300tdi Defender, and they did a great job running fully loaded across the Greart Victoria and Simpson Desert's last year. I don't know that much about Tyres, I just sell them........sort of.....

That's true, but the wranglers I mentioned in an earlier post were used on the every day driver, through some pretty rough territory and even a trip across the country (by road).
When we bought the series three they were on the vehicle had come from the airforce(?), The tyres were new and the engine, a holden 186 had been put in and was not yet run in. Those tyres out lasted that holden 6, which I might add was well looked after, and we even did a gearbox rebuild and they still had atpproximately 50% tread.
I think goodyear wranglers will be the tyre of choice when it comes time to replace the duelers which came with the car. Matt

You have to remember that I'm talking about A/t's, no idea whaat M/T's would be like. Also these tyre went on the vehicle in the mid 1980's, providing they haven't changed their composition they should still wear the same.
I am talking A/T's too, I have some M/T retreads for weekend play, but cant usem at the moment cause when i hit the really rough axle twisting stuff the tyres grab the gaurds. Matt

I love it.

My folks have been touring Australia for 4 years in their Jackaroo (sorry) on BFG A/T's. They love 'em. They do very little 'hard' 4wdriving, but tow a VERY heavy twin axle van. So if you're looking to tow long distances - these MAY be for you...
