The fees for Qld Motorways (Gateway Bridge & Ipswich tollway) are part of the "GoVia" system and is compatable with Sydney toll systems, but I think that the "Clem Jones Tunnel and Go Between" are run by a different entity and are not linked to "GoVia" just my humble take on it.

Gateway Bridge tolls increase every July

It's all linked together. Doesn't matter where you travel, the same tag works on all toll roads. (the ones you have mention above anyway)

Philippe, definitely no signage or price notice that me or the good lady wife ... OR Alf Simons saw !

Toll roads ? .... Not where we live ! We don't even have traffic lights ! .... So I'm probably not tuned into keeping an eye out for the "gotcha" signs ... Though, when we travel to Sydney they are always clearly signposted and I've never been caught out.

So I've made a $27 contribution to the Queensland road system !

At least you have decent roads in Queensland !

    Hello from Brisbane.

The "toll" signs are up there, and you would have passed at least two before the bridge.

However, they aren't all that prominent as you correctly point out ("toll" in a small yellow box beside the destination name on the green fingerboard).

So, easy to miss if you are not concentrating or are new to the place.

Not sure that any of the other cities really do much more to highlight the non-toll options to be honest.

    Cheers,

The issue with this stupid bridge is that no-one who didn't already know would ever suspect that it was a toll bridge. If you cross it at peak hour all you're really paying for is to queue at a different set of traffic lights at either end. It has the highest cost per km of any toll road in Australia (or the entire western world probably) being $2.98 to go 117m! Ridiculous.

    Yes indeed.

The inner Scotchman in my genetic makeup takes the 5 minute detour every time.
