I’m pretty sure the dinosaurs died out when they stopped gathering food and started having meetings to discuss gathering food

I've been around here something like 11 years.

I've been a subscriber for a little while, so the changes wont really impact me.

But in the time I've been here, I've met some great people, enjoyed hundreds of hours. (Mrs Bytemrk says millions :P) and literally saved thousands of dollars directly through advice and contacts made here.

The net is full of forums (Ron...should that be fora?) but I have never found one with the sense of mateship this place has... things like the AULRO Courier service and the AULRO SOS & breakdown forum are unique to this place. So is some of the support I have seen over the years in some very personal threads.

Honestly... $11 a year... $1.50 a month... 3c a day, if someone walked away from here because of such a tidy cost.... maybe they didn't really fit AULRO in the first place.....

Do what you need to do Inc.....you have put so much into this place... we all owe you and the rest of the volunteer team a lot.

Im all for user pays,in the great discussion I made it clear I thought the min annual cost should be higher than it has been set at.INC made it very clear he only wanted to charge the minimum needed to future proof the website and keep it available for everyone if god decided he was required upstairs to sort some IT issues.

For those who say fee paying websites dont work, any Ozi Explorer or Ausfish members please put your 2 Bobs worth in.

how does the money we provide go towards future proofing?
is it put into a trust fund? bank account with high interest for rainy day?
or is it used for the here and now?
