He is back.....as he has posted elsewhere
The other four defers and 100series (standing in for a defer that's getting a bit of TLC) are on the island til the weekend sometime.
I was so tempted to take time off but the timing wasn't quite right
I saw a few Defenders on Moreton last week & have been checking the Trip Report section but to no avail!
I did note that the ocean beach maximum speed limit is now down to 60 kph so someone in power must have known they were going over

One of them is/was probably mine. My wife (who is trying hard to imagine I don't exist) is back in Brisbane and is spending two weeks on Moreton. So if anyone is being snubbed by a SVX there at the moment please don't hold it against me later.
On a positive note, how proud am I of my eldest daughter, today at the wrecks she helped rescue two guys who had got into difficulties and were close to drowning. Got them ashore and they promptly disappeared.
I wish I could afford to have the fun that my Defender which I pay for has.
No trip report, not much to report on. Just the usual brilliance that a Moreton trip brings.
I was just sitting back thinking about how lucky I am, desert last year, cape this year and just back from Moreton . The wife tells me we're going to Europe next year but surely the high country needs a visit?
Too right mate! We spent 3 weeks there in 2007 & would go back in a flash.
Wifey has booked us for Europe next year too on one of the Amsterdam to Budapest boat cruises. Ho hum! I mentioned to her that the cost of that would have given me a lot of time up the Top End/Kimberley area & also that I'll wager that there's no Barra or Muddies in the Rhine. (Lead balloon, that one)

I'm heading over there on Monday. Anyone know what the access from Tailor Bight to Yellowpatch is like. I prefer that way to bumping along the inland track.

I did Cowan to North Pt. via the beach around Comboyuro Pt. a couple of times last week & had no issues although the creek crossing/wetlands at Heath Is. is obviously low tide only & avoid the mouth. Years ago people used to place sticks to show the best crossing but this practice seems to have disappeared.
There's a track along the low dunes just up from the beach to avoid the trees.
Have a good trip.
