I struck this on the Dandedong-Frankston road and on the Peninusla link. The traffic was doing about 10 kph under the posted speed limit, yet you get people doing the same speed in the right lane. So much for the signs that read "KEEP LEFT unless Overtaking"!
So I want to pass the slower cars, but can't as the car in front is also doing the lower speed, and totally oblivious as to any vehicle behind them that might like to pass. For what seemed like ages, they finally wake up and try to speed up and get into the left lane. Problem though, their under powered little milk crate doesn't have enough power to increase speed ( those little 3 cyl jobs) Funny how this happened 3 times in one trip with different drivers, and all in little milk crates
Also notice a lot that parents taking their kids out driving on L plates don't know or teach the "Keep left unless overtaking" rule, as they will drive the entire stretch on the right hand lane ( although they are doing the max speed limit, it's just teaching and installing this attitude from day one into the beginner driver)
