    I need advice on winches

what do you guys think of these winches?

how do they compare to a warn?

what do you expect the cost of one to be?

    Are they available in Australia?

Are you sure you want an electric winch instead of a Tirfor?

I have never heard of them DZ, i much prefer the Magnum winches, they are made by Warn, but are $400 odd dollars cheaper. The best bet if you only want it on the vehicle as security and dont plan on using it all the time.

Then again if you want something for that RMP's suggestion of a tirfor might be the go, only problem is you are the power source. Matt

I think winches as security is much overrated. I have seen far too many winches break down or break cables. Tirfors are much more reliable. Most of the time you only need to move the vehicle a little way to get unstuck.

Power bar-mount winches come into their own if you need to slog through long mudholes or up very very steep inclines. However, that's extreme stuff and if anything goes wrong with the winch you are then in trouble.

I reckon for the average touring person an electric winch should be low on the priority list. Get a tirfor or a portable electric winch.

    IMHO.

i can import them for under a grand each but the minimum order is 5 or 8.
    i cant remember.

i want to know if anyone has heard of them or seen them before.
the specs dont sound too bad.
they have warranty etc. but you gotta organise your own fitting.
    (or send your car overseas)

im only tossing ideas arround. if no one has heard of them or know of them then i will not even think about it any longer.
they could be better than the name brands available or they could be the same with different badges. might even be total crap.

    i guess i will never know 8)

I would go with one of the established brands in Australia, any little you save won't be worth the hassle.

Personally I'd recommend Brawn winches but then again I am biased, but I do have one on my vehicle, and have used Brawn winches in comps.

But I reckon bar-mount winches are still a long way down the priority list.

They used to call it Honda English when the Japanese started on their climb to world manufacturing supremacy.

    I love their intro:

" NINGBO YINZHOU LIANDA ELECTRICAL CO., LTD. is one of the production bases that manufacturing electromotional capstans in China . Our company is located in the Gu Lin industry city, the Yin Zhou street. What is more, it is 2 kilometers away from the Le She airport, and it is 2.5 kilometers away from the exit at NingBo City of the ShangHai to NingBo to HangZhou thruway , so the transportation is very convenient.

With the standard of technology exploitation makes creative technique. We win the clients' trust and deeply love depending on the dependable quality, consummate arts and crafts, high-quality function. Our products are sold far to Europe and America etc. The products reach tens of nations and regions. I don't need an electromotional capstan or a relationship ALL I WANT IS A WINCH 8O
