The bullocky, keeping a tradition alive

Another one for the bucket list, Barellan, Riverina, " good old days " festival. Keep an eye on 'Jimmy' the new lead bullock. If the boss gets any closer....Bob

I’m pretty sure the dinosaurs died out when they stopped gathering food and started having meetings to discuss gathering food

A bookshop is one of the only pieces of evidence we have that people are still thinking

Ron had his team in Yass last year as well. Was pretty awesome seeing the power that these beasts can generate and the time it took to set up and drag the dray around. Whats even more amazing is that all the mining machinery that you fall over in the bus arrived via bullock dray in the days before modern transport....

Thanks TOTE, that area has been added to my bucket list. [ I'm living for another 66 years, going by the big bucket] Bob

There's still a team that works from time to time in Numinbah Valley behind the Gold Coast. There are a few videos on Youtube of them.

    Great article.

I remember doing an assignment at primary school on the Bullock teams. I had seen them at a show as a small child and was so impressed with their strength.
