Will be interesting to see if there are any bargains at year end when they clear "obsolete" stock
Hi, I have a td5 110 getting a bit old now , and have been looking at newer 110s for a while . Now we all know there stopping production later this year , and that there are those that can afford to buy new ones . I would be the first to say good luck , and It's great to see them on the roads . The thing that I have noticed is how the price has gone up ! not just new but second hand 110 Defenders . Before you start shouting It's market forces , I know that , but to pay up to $10,000 more than the book price , or even insurance value ,is in my opinion madness . If the new Defender is the success that Land Rover are hoping It will be I wonder how It will effect secon hand prices then ? I have decided to wait until next year , and revue It then . In the mean time my old girl will do !!.. Jim![]()

By all means get a Defender. If you get a good one, you'll be happy. If you get a bad one, you'll become a philosopher.

That's a very interesting point.... but since they are pretty much made to order and (at least in North Qld) the dealers aren't keeping many on the floor I wouldn't think there will be too much difficulty getting rid of the last few. Should be interesting to see how it all plays out.
I thought it was interesting that LR have bought out the 3 'celebration' models for this year, they should be quiet sort after I would think.
they are already asking stupid prices on stuff that hasnt sold...
that green two door hardtop 110 was way overpriced...
wonder if it has sold yet...

The way I see It , the 110s and Defenders that we drive are vehicles that only appeal to a very small number of drivers . When you start getting over $40,000 plus for a second hand Defender , you can get a big choice in other makes as well , or even series 3 Discovery's . I suppose each to there own !!..Jim![]()
I know sales of new Defenders on the uk this year so far are going through the roof.
And older Defenders are also going up in price.
It is going to be interesting if the factory can keep up with the rush to buy a new ones before the end of the year as it is.
So I don't think they will have any left over to sell of cheap.

I can back that one up!
I am in the UK at the moment and called into my local dealer...
... he said the last 4 months has been manic with new Defender orders and they have already sold out on their allocation until May! And he has also sold all of his allocation for the special edition models of Heritage, Expedition and AutoBiography!
Once they are gone and all that...![]()
Personally, I really liked the Heritage too!!!
