I used to buy chocolate buds or freckles individually at the local corner store. Apparently I didn't buy enough because they've all gone broke.

    Broken biscuits from the shop?

ACTUAL freshly baked and hot bread.

Home delivered milk in glass bottles.

And cops being able to beat some sense into miscreants rather than them being let off by our modern 'soft' magistrates
It's not broken. It's "Carbon Neutral".

Our local hardware store is REAL old school. Been much the same for a very long time. Only smallish in size, but has at least most of what you would want. Service is second to none. I have a account there, where I can by on impulse and pay of later problem is the boss also uses the account. If you don`t need it straight away and the don`t have it they will get it in for you even if they don`t normally stock it. Sure beats Bunnings or the like.

Like when spare parts shops like Repco kept most of their stock behind the counter and you could even buy parts that were made in Australia..
