Being one who actually suffers from migranes, I don't want to talk about it, I don't want to call it anything, I just want to find a dark hole, where no sound or light can penetrate, where I can overcome the exquisite agony of the nuclear device exploding inside my head.

What really gets me is that many of these pretenders would not know what a migrane is and only suffer from caffeine withdrawal headaches or hangovers from the bottle they consumed last night.

But I've hijacked the thread too much.

You won't find me on: faceplant; Scipe; Infragam; LumpedIn; ShapCnat or Twitting. I'm just not that interesting.

Was just reading the second link that VNX205 posted and came across the boy's name "Dwayne Pipe". Reminded me of a "Wayne Kerr" we used to have in our school.

But on the original topic - if people want to give names to their cars, I have no problem with that. Not something that I have ever done, but it doesn't worry me at all if others do.

Same for naming your children after cars etc. No problem with that either. Call your kid Monaro or Torana if you want - just don't get upset when the little darling comes home from school and says "Mummy - the other kids are all calling me skid mark, or mudguard or something similar". (Those who went to a typical Australian high school education will understand).

There truly are some winners out there.

But it's not just the bogans and ferals that get up my nose. The others that **** me off are the pseudo wealthy who have to pronounce words differently to demonstrate their (so called) superior education and status in life. You know, the ladies who don't get migraines or common headaches, but who suffer from "meeeeegraines" and the like.

I love taking the **** out of these pretentious ******* even more than I love upsetting bogans.
Or their pronounciation of the Champagne brand M?ET as "MO-EE".

Edit: Hey Inc, I put a trema on the O in Moet & got a ? mark

Don't get me started on commentators trying to sound educated and murdering French and Latin words trying to fit them into their repertoire...

The one that frustrates me endlessly during footy season is that the word "debut" apparently needs pronouncing as "Deboo"...

    Sydney Uni?

I worked with Richard at RPAH, IIRC Richard ended up as a political advisor to the NSW Minister for Health.

Yeah, "the dash don't be silent", according to the mother.

Anyway, Snopes thinks this maybe an urban myth. 'Ledasha' is a documented girls name. Snopes can find no documented cases of it being spelt 'La-a' in official records.

Lotz a Landies, my 5 year old says to name your new disco 'dog'. D for dog makes a lot of sense in his world.

My wife gave the lse project the name kellogs, because a lot of golden flakes come out of that fire wall!
