Here in my part of Tasmania we are having yet again another green drought, only enough rain to keep a bit of colour but with no growth.
Here's hoping that the tail end of ex tropical cyclone Olwyn will shake some rain loose over us, on it's way over to make New Zealand more beautiful.
We had record rains in Southern Tasmania in April 1960 and it was said that that it was the result of a cyclone that had swung around Cape Leeuwin, WA, and came across the Great Australian Bight as a massive low pressure system.
Over the last Fortnight we have had lots of dry wind and any green tinge in the paddocks has now turned very brown.
