Not Big Red but in the correct desert, not Merty Merty either. The area at the base of the dune is marked as an airstrip on some maps.

:confused: :confused: I would have thought Poeppels Corner was closer to the centre rather than one end.
Anyway let's try further north with Batton Camp, although I can't see any of the facilities there.

Anyway, the vegetation, colour and ridge height indicate to me that you are in the NE segment of the Simpson so let's try further north with Batton Camp, although I can't see any of the facilities there.
