Nope, closer to Dalhousie, the size of the dunes is probably decieving.

Although there was a lot of drilling debris around there when I was there in 1983 ............... but that was 33 years ago :o :D
Yep, Mokari it is, we spent the first evening out of Dalhousie there after ducking up to Mt Dare to top up with fuel. Headed across the Rig road, up Knolls track, following the Hay River track up to Jervois. we had planned to go via Birdsville but the track was still closed in July 2011.
