Oddly, the state supplies the rear plate and the owner the front. Plates are issued to an identity rather than a vehicle.

It must be confusing being half French and half Dutch.
    Cheers, Billy.
    Keeping it simple is complicated.

Nothing particularly odd about that. Check out the good ole US of A. In fact, we are the odd ones. I blame VicRoads.

How about the lovely Belgium city of Brug(g)es?
Some spell it with one g while others use two g's. Personally, I'd rather have two g's 😊

BINGO! I knew we'd get there sooner or later. People were getting quite close with the French-Dutch observations.
The vehicle was actually used by the 1992 Netherlands team for the Camel Trophy. Here's a shot of the back...

IMG_5718.jpg Not sure why the forum uploads photos sideways, but I suspect the vehicle spent quite a bit of time this way back in the day.

    Over to you Xtreme...

I had to think back to what city in Belgium I was in about five weeks ago when I took this 'graph of the same CT Defender.

    I had a slight advantage I guess 🤔

Here's another OS one because as I said a little while ago, I can't access my Aussie ATM.
Should be easy though, even without any further clues than those in the photo itself.
