    It looks a bit like an area on a side track on the way to Hickman crater, Punda rock hole ?? The track is fairly overgrown, si I guess it fits with the not many people go there clue, some good rock art in the area too. (well I guess Punda is / was the main track and Hickman is the side track)

    Apologies for late replies. Very poor reception where I am at the moment.

    Mindy Mindy project claims dismissed - Breaking News - Business - Breaking News

    This has stopped access by the northern route....

    Anyone travelling to the Pilbara wanting directions to off the tourist trail waterholes, gorges, rock art, etc let me know.

    So Rick, are you saying that it's Mindy Mindy Creek?

    Interestingly while looking around the Coondiner Ck area I found what appears to a small meteorite crater about 18km north of The Hickman Crater. Any info on this Rick?

    Correct. Mindy Mindy creek. With side gorges included there would probably be 20 kms of remote waterholes and gorges. We have spent many weekends (and tyres) exploring this area.

    If it is a crater you are famous. What are the co-ordinates?

    The small crater (only about 35m diameter) is located at 22deg 52.576mins S, 119deg 40.535mins E.

    Xtreme Crater 37.5m wide .
    only 1750m from rail access road so easy to check out, I'm sure it would have been noticed before as there is a track about 150m west on other side of creek.

    But you never know.

    I'm certainly interested enough to check it next time we are in Newman
