My fondest memory of (Mt) Chambers Gorge was when a mate of mine and I forced my P76 up the gorge after a flood had removed the track. We eventually found a bunch of Cruiser owners camping who had driven in from the top, parked where it got a little difficult, and were wandering around smugly holding beer coolers. I wound down the window of the P76 and asked one if the track went through. The look on his face was absolutely priceless.

My first thought is somewhere in Tasmania. Reminds me of the gorge below the Gordon Dam

Classic. Reminds me of my first trip to the High Country back in the early '80s. We were coming down the staircase in our Hi-lux feeling very smug about what tough 4wd'ers we were, only to come across an old Peugeot calmy driving up the other way.
