Because of a discovery (no not L/R) this area featured prominently in the news last year. Please give me the localities at the ends of this 110km stretch of road.
The scenery varies a lot along this road, hence two pictures.
Bonus point if you know what was discovered here.
    Btw That's a mirage , not water.

Discovery of Savannasaurus elliottorum dinosaur by David Elliott on his property, Belmont Station NE of Winton (Qld)?
Can't pick the actual road you're on though.

You're in the right area, but make a 180 degree turn. Not a dinosaur, but a creature that descended from dinosaurs.

I guess it wasn't the Australopachycormus either, as it's described as a swordfish-like dinosaur.

I'm sorry, I should have expressed myself more clearly. The creature was re-discovered.

I think you're talking about the man who went missing and whose body was discovered dead from a snake bite. I don't recall exactly where that was but the country in your photo looks very similar to the road west from Coober Pedy out to Mabel Creek although I don't think that is quite 110km.

No, not human nor dinosaur, and as Xtreme guessed rightly near Winton Qld..
Winton and another town are roughly the same distance from that location.

No it's not, but you're getting closer. Cawnpore Lookout is about 90km away as the crow flies.
