Yep, you guessed it, all the promises made by the office boy yesterday have come to nought.
I called today requesting that a letter/email be sent to AMV approving the works as described by James (the office boy) and as authorised by Steven (business owner). Finally got to speak to Steven.
Oh NO, he said. I've only approved for them to ascertain that there is a transmission fault. If there is, I'll get the box back up here and fix it.... AGAIN. This was not to involve removing the box etc. I asked him what will happen if they are unable to ascertain the fault without removing the box? No answer.
"Ummm NO, said I. As already indicated I have no confidence in your ability to fix this problem. You have had 2 goes already and even on the last attempt, you told me that you replaced a transfer case seal and you didn't. This almost had e on the side of the road with oil ****ing out everywhere. Your team even pushed the input/output seal too far in so that it leaked as well. Why should I trust you again? And just how long will I be without my car again whilst all this ****ing around happens?"
Lots of crap from him saying that it is his right to fix it under the terms of the warranty, that James had misunderstood the instruction etc etc. In the end, he wants me to take the car to another transmission specialist, rather than AMV (who would have probably out-sourced the work) and that he would allow them to actually DO the work.
I'm sooooooo ****ing OVER this. Maybe I'll just drag the bastard through VCAT and be done with it![]()
