Both have special feelings... V8 has that note nothing else has.
Diesel has that chatter that i love....
Gotta love that chatter. Plus cruiser drivers hate it even more when a diesel land rover passes them. Matt

Can't see the problem myself.
LPG @36.9 cpl (32.9 with woolies/safeway discount) and avg 300km for 68l, thats .....
.....

.....

.....

at least 900km for the cost of a Tdi 700 ( an educated guess :? ) or a V8 400.
And I get to get out and stand upon the earth I traverse heaps more than the Tdi folk (whilst holding a fill snozzle in one hand 8O )

But oh my....that gurgle and low gutteral tone.....
sure makes up for it.....

This may be true Ralph, but unfortunately it aint always available in some of the more remote parts of the country, let alone the space(which is at a premium in a Disco) that the LPG tanks take up 8O

Dont think you can carry jerries or spares of the stuff either, so it is really a urban option, or at least major population areas.

Besides, fuel economy wasnt invented until the late 80's, early 90's and everyone seemed to get around before then 8O
