Thread: Elder abuse..

Ken is an amazing person he would not hurt a fly (literally). She is a money grabbing cow who was hoping he would have died by now. Social services (the woman wo advised him to sort his pension out) will be ringing him tomorrow and calling him in for a 'talk' of what is going on.
I told Ken a person will be giving him a call an just tell her what is going on ie the truth in his own words this is important.
Another friend of Kens who lives a bit further away (safe from his mad missus) offered him a ' holiday' a day before pension day and a few days after so he wont be home when the poo hits the fan ie he will be safe which is what I am interested in when she finds out she no longer has his pension to spend.
The sweet man he is he said to me today if it was a bloke doing this to him he would punch him in the face, but he said the problem is it is a woman.
The truth is Ken is not able to hit anyone as he is too frail . He is just a gent and the reality is he is very frightened, this is not how any of us need to end our days.

No, I have a list of numbers that the community center gave me, but I asked them to call him in and get it all down in Kens own words and then they can act on it better than me. They agreed this was better as it things get really bad it is more official.
The person who does the interviews was away I think they are back tomorrow so things should start moving soon.

He really needs to call the police during one of the assaults. If she is the offender he can then get a restraining order and she has to move out. Then the lawyers can sort it out. It would be very hard for an Aussie bloke to ring the police and say they are scared of a woman but it will certainly help his cause.

Don't let him sign anything she presents to him or makes him go to her solicitor.

Unfortunately in many cases the guy just signs documents to make the aggravation stop much to his financial disadvantage. That happened to a bloke I knew, she just kept at him and at him until he said what the **** give me paper so I can sign and see the rear end of you.

We all tried to tell him that a woman nearly thirty years younger was a gold digger. When he met her in Manila and then paid for her to come to Aus she was as sweet as pie. That was while he was working but as soon as he retired and his super came through the abuse and the terror began.

Very sad outcome. Now she has his house and most of his super and he is renting a dive behind his mates place on the pension.

Sadly, there are numerous stories of Aussie blokes marrying foreign women, often from Asia, thinking they will get a compliant little wifey, but after the four years is up and she gets her citizenship, suddenly she decides the grass is greener elsewhere. Of course, to be fair, it isn't always like that and there are also happy stories, like a mate whose Filipino wife is an absolute gem and they are very happy.
