Speaking of diseases, I have rabies. Got it yesterday. Don't feel sorry for me though, it's just the first of three vaccinations. The Navigator has decided to get back into orphan animal caring, including bats, so we are legally required to have the rabies vaccine against lyssavirus.

The lyssavirus is a genus of viruses closely related to the classic rabies virus.
The virus is transmitted to humans by bites or scratches from infected bats.
The simplest form of prevention is to avoid handling bats.
If bitten or scratched by a bat, or if bat blood or urine enters the eyes, mouth or nose, seek medical attention immediately.

So, now I can make lots of bad jokes about frothing at the mouth. I can also blame my bad behavior on my having rabies. I can milk this quite a bit, I think.

Any comments I made about the anti-vaxers would be quite rude and include the words 'ignorant', 'vicious' and 'irresponsible', so I better say nothing.

I have used a Waterman and other brands of fountain pens for several decades. If I do a lot of writing it's just so much easier to use and better on my finger 'bunion'. Cheers ps. Need a soft nib. Don't bother wasting crap ones.
