My Pugs complain about my leaving socks around. Maybe that's what they are saying otherwise it might be that they are happy to see me or its time for dinner.

Probably all of those except the socks. I reckon dogs love it when you leave clothing on the floor. It's the next best thing to you.

If I leave clothes on the floor, my dog sleeps on them! She also likes clothes baskets full of clean clothes if left in places where she can get in them.
