Not quite the same thing - "Tiny Homes" are designed to stay more or less in one place, and have minimal concession to things such as aerodynamic drag, just have to be able to be legally towed - caravans are designed to be towed on the road, with a lot of design going into road characteristics, even if most of them spend most of their life in one spot.

Tiny homes are a great response to rampant materialism and the spreading rash of McMansions. Honestly, who needs a huge house funded by a crippling mortgage? Downsizing is rational.
