I started the process in June last year. I have three claims under the old legislation but the tinitis will come under the new legislation. I have the other three claims accepted. The tinitis I haven't heard anything at all. I have rang and they say it on someone's desk etc. There is a petition doing the rounds for a royal commission into DVA. I used to think QLD transport set the benchmark for the worst service from a government department. DVA takes it to an all new level. I understand that there are a lot of Vets at the moment who need their attention far more than me, but, it is still a beaurocratic quagmire.

I can't blame the black Hawks. They've only buzzed me a couple of times. For me it was Needle Guns ( Jason Hammers ) and Tug engine rooms.

I wish, unfortunately it often keeps you up at night. The result of 3500hp and a transmission just above your head and 0.50 Cal rifle fire in the back and door guns.

Not at all the same, but I'm the designated driver for a WWII M5A1 International halftrack (ex-Lend Lease British/ex-Israeli Army) and when we do displays, like the upcoming Lithgow Ironfest its mounted with an active blank firing 0.50 cal where the end of the barrel is about 2 feet above my right shoulder. Even with noise cancelling muffs the percussion from the report goes right through you. Glad there's only a few hundred rounds used each event.

Wouldn't be much fun on a daily basis.

Oh no I've just noticed that I've become a Chatter Box. I wish it could be something more objectionable, like Loud Mouth, Rat Bag or Bull S*** Artist. Any way Not to worry. It can't last forever.

That said, all that is left to say is up the TIGERS. Well worth the 600 Metre walk to be there and the loss of voice at the end.
