........of my mouth you understand. Trying to get it elsewhere would be just silly & would require a Tongue Length of about 100cm anyway.

Agreed! Definitely got the texture of chicken. Slightly 'fishy' chicken but pretty good!

Surveyors initials weren't E.D. were they, John? Or perhaps D.B.?

How to impress a barmaid; lick your eyebrows as you order a pot.

Tastes like tough fish, I won't try it again.

I'm trying to remember the name, but so far I'm drawing a blank - can't even bring up a face. We were working north of Mt Bosavi, and our camp was on the Libano R., with all supplies coming by helicopter.

When we lived in Thailand there was a monkey that people in the village would feed. We drove out one morning to find the guards at the gate had the barbecue going and were cooking up the monkey.
Smelled delicious, but we didn't stop for a taste. Monkey brains are said to be a delicacy, but I haven't tried it myself.
I can recommend crunched grasshoppers though.

The two blokes I know (one deceased) worked for Arman and Larmer, quite a large company in the time.
