    Big Excitement is Brisbane

Hi guys I read the internet news on the way to work this morning and was amazed by the big hailstorm in Brisbane, fortunately my landy is locked in the garage, How did you all fare? Hopefully not too many of you had your cars outside. cheers simmo.

    Unhappy Hail storm Brisbane

The weather where I am, is like Queensland, most of the time just bit cooler in the winter and Autumn, currently magnificent Autumn days, clear and cool , lovely cool evenings. Perfect motorbike weather, too good to be at a work. .

Chang Won incidentally was designed by Burly Griffin , the guy who designed Canberra. Its a modern western style city with broad avenues and central roundabout etc. The Hotel Canberra is across the road is a local landmark, it looks like it was a nice Hotel once but its now falling into disrepair.

I'm guessing there will be a lot of hail damaged cars, the news said some of the hail stones were as big as golf balls. I'm terrified of hail storms in my land rover, all those flat soft aluminium panels, it would be a write off for sure.

The count down is on, only a few months to go before I immigrate back to QLD.

Like i said, I hope everyones car was under cover. cheers simmo

By all means get a Defender. If you get a good one, you'll be happy. If you get a bad one, you'll become a philosopher.

As usual, we in the rarified climes of North lakes watched as it swirled around and troubled others. Shouldn't bother with the blankets and pillows
No call out yet so DBay must have avoided the pisling.
    Cheers, BDave.
