Thread: Bug-out Bags - Do you have one / what's in it?

Nothing as comprehensive as the above, but learned the hard way that a week-ender+ Grab-Bag is a sound idea....

Found myself in hospital at shrt notice (9 days) and had to endure the frustration of 'Distance Glasses', a flattening phone battery, boredom and Noise...

Mine is a redundant Laptop-bag and has a phone charger/cables, notebook, pen, few $$$, sox/jocks and toiletries, spare reading glasses, light reading, mp3 player/earphones, band-aids and insulation tape.

Lives near the bedside drawers, which makes it easy for Wife to grab and bring it in.

-Which saves on the frustration of said spouse bringing in the rrong Noise Cancelling headphones with 1/4" plug.... which don't fit the music player...

- When you get well past Middle-Age you need to think of these events...

My bug out bag is essentially my camper trailer and car, they are both basically stocked with basics that would hopefully be enough to get away in nearly any event apart from an EMP.

Car:

Lights
Uhf
Night vision Monocular (ALDI to the rescue)
Assorted electrical equipment, chargers inverter etc
Toolkit inc lighter / matches
Few bottles of water
Rain jacket and Towel
Air Compressor
Recovery Gear
GPS
Lock pick set (originally bought for ****s and giggles but has come in handy a number of times and is really useful for something that cost 15 bucks)
Usually my Work tool bag (Bosch 18v drill, rattle gun, grinder, light)
Fire extinguisher, fire blanket and first aid kit

Camper
40-60L Water
2x 65AH batteries with anderson connection to car or solar panel
Petrol generator (older pull start type)
Some canned food
Sleeping Gear
Radio AM/FM
Gas Cooker
Shovel
Cooking and cleaning equipment
