Why would sliders be any different to the factory sidesteps? I may be wrong legally, but I see no logical reason that they should effect side air bags any more than a side step. I realise they are more rigid, but as stated before , there is no crumple zone in the sills, which is what a D3/4 slider (or side step) bolts to.

I am sure that if someone hit my car hard enough from the side - the curtain air bags would deploy, despite my sliders.
I wouldnt think a slider would really stop much at all,even if its heavy duty.
Trying to get info as Im going to make myself a set and some "spare" ones at the same time.
