Transgrid to build Australia's first megapack big battery in Western Sydney, the first of perhaps 10, preparing for the retirement of NSW's aging coal power plants.

That retrofit, whilst I’ve done it - cost more than the savings made in the first 3 years. Big storm and no power in SA

If Tesla is correct, I get my Cybertruck in about 6 months!
Considering it hasn’t even commenced production I would say it won’t be coming that fast, nor will this magnificent new battery technology.

I have both. One is poisonous on price, great on performance and slightly longer life. The other is cheap, consistent and shorter lifespan.

In a mobile application the major benefits are weight, size and pulse current capability. Other than that AGM tech is predictable, cheap, effective.

AGM can also have a far higher charge rate in many applications so depending on array size can handle it better.

    Real jobs during construction maybe...

The farms around here - 2-3 people work there once built.

South Australia names hydrogen hubs to foster growth in wind and solar.

South Australia is already a world leader in the deployment of wind and solar, which produced more than 57 per cent of state demand over the last 12 months, and on many occasions more than 100 per cent. Just over a week ago, i
ts solar resources produced more than 100 per cent of state demand in one half hour period, a world first.

Both Port Bonython and Port Spencer could support green electrolysers of up to 2.5GW, which in turn would support wind and solar additions of between 6GW and 6.5GW at each facility, which would take the state’s wind and solar capacity to around 300 per cent of current state demand.

Just what we want - more infrastructure built on one of the most beautiful spots on the coast. Big storm and no power in SA

They already ****ed a pristine coastline when the Gas Refinery was built right on the coastline.

We've been doing this since 1788 - just look at Port Jackson!

That is all the more reason to install a box of tricks (Power Diverter) if one has an Electric HW System.

It shoots excess Panel Generated power to the HWS instead of pushing it back to the grid. Saves us a Motza.

Whether that is a solution in your street I dunno as there may be other variables.
