The trouble is that there are far too many people literally getting away with Murder because the prosecution takes the easy way out and accepts a plea of manslaughter instead of slogging it out and proving it was Murder.

That's the point, he hasn't confessed.

Umm. Err. He plead guilty? “Well I admit that I dumped her body, but honestly I don’t know what happened to her. Honestly. For real. I woke up and she wasn’t breathing.”

Is that what you think? Wouldn’t an innocent person call an ambulance?

About time some people woke up and smelt the rotting roses.

This guy played the legal system, wasted police time and wasted tax dollars.

He didn't plead guilty, nor has he ever confessed to murder.

This guy brings new meaning to the saying “got away with murder”

In these times of domestic violence, in my opinion if people can’t see that, they are fools.

I agree, I think he's got away with murder, but after months of investigation by highly qualified and experienced police officers and presentation of the provable facts, by well trained legal professionals, do you really think after reading a few paragraphs written by a journalist of dubious quality, a Land Rover fancier is better qualified to pass judgment ?

I am merely expressing my opinion. Agreeing with the thread title..
The body was badly decomposed, and due to this the cause of death could not be proven.
Police argued (and I agree) that the actions of the man after “the event” prove that it was murder.
Hence the thread title which I am agreeing with.
I would argue that any innocent person would have at least called an ambulance. An innocent person certainly wouldn’t dump the body in bushland & tell people that she “went away for a walk after an argument”
Anyway - I think it is sad that a persons life is only worth 9 years, regardless of how it was ended..
