As far as I am concerned ONLY the Victims of crime have the Right to be able to show leniency/mercy Not the Judiciary and most certainly not some bloody busybody with nothing better to do.
Maybe if these bleeding hearts/civil libertarians were to put themselves in the shoes of the victims of crime or to better still experience if First Hand they wouldn't be so keen to jump to a criminals defence.
If we did have tougher laws and the judiciary were to sentence criminals accordingly instead of all this community service and good behaviour BS that many of the repeat offenders receive then I would bet a penny to a pound we wouldn't be having the problems we are having at the moment.

But it's getting worse,....too many lefties, do-gooders,..."äh, they will rehabilitate, not their fault, peer pressure, had a bad upbringing, it's the drugs,....ah, He/she will be ok now, he/she's got a baby on the way, it's racism"??!!..How many more similar excuses from the "Do-Gooders" can you think of, all of which are "Stuffing" Law & Order?!

Maybe when the problem gets bad enough that it starts to affect these dimwitted civil libertarians and completely out of touch with reality politicians personally they will pull their heads out of their arse.
Until then unfortunately the rest of us will have to suffer the consequences of the weak as **** decisions made by the judiciary that are too terrified to impose a meaningful penalty when sentencing a criminal.
So I agree that things will get much worse before anything positive is done to stop or at least deter criminals from offending/re offending in future.

For sure, I agree with you,..."Law & Order"?...it's going down the drain,.....it's getting worse,..and worse,....and worse, .....and I see no change at all in the downward spiral,......there's more & more "excuses", but less & less deterrent, I mean ya go to jail,....3 meals a day,...even the meals (the meat has to be of a certain standard!!) you get, you even get a choice, the food, & the standard of accomodation, benefits etc etc etc is better than many thousands enjoy on the "öutside".

NB: I mean, the last example I gave, two feral women beat the hell out of a paramedic two years ago as a consequence of which He still cannot return to work, and they get off scot free?.....Makes NO sense at all to me......but of course to "some" it will,.....and THAT is the problem.

Seriously Mick is that all you can come up with??
We already have adequate laws in place along with sentencing to match, That isn't the problem.
The problem is that the judiciary do Not enforce these laws and the sentences given are completely inadequate, Even the mandatory sentences get sidestepped.
Time to stop all this tear jerking BS and make people that commit the crime do the time. End of story.
