Well, I stand by to be flamed, but I can see a need for that stuff,....in Melbourne now, as distinct from just a few years ago, plenty of "people" regularly ram Police vehicles, drive at officers when requested to stop etc, so yep, I say if you disobey a Police Officer, then you deserve what you get.
In my day, we always addressed the officer as sir, or officer, not that this happened very often, because guys, although most of my mates & I were car nuts with our twin strombergs, triple Sus or whatever, we obeyed the law.

I’m pretty sure the dinosaurs died out when they stopped gathering food and started having meetings to discuss gathering food

A bookshop is one of the only pieces of evidence we have that people are still thinking

I think you could work out the IQ of that law enforcement officer [ can't call him a Policeman] by counting the fingers of his right hand. Driving at speed with one hand, while firing a weapon thru the windscreen, [ considering the round could be deflected into an innocent bystander ] puts him into the category of dumb and dumber. Same could be said for the shooter in the offending vehicle. It has to be said, are Americans that out of touch with reality, they are acting out a Bruce Willis movie ?

It’s not as bad as you think. Some USA police jurisdictions practice shooting through the windscreen on a regular basis (including a friend of mine in the LAPD). The first round is deflected only slightly but weakens the windscreen enough for the rest to go exactly where placed. They also teach shooting with your weaker hand. I have also heard of officers shooting through the windscreen with AR-15’s too. From memory the two guys in that footage we’re murder suspects and shot off at least a couple of dozen rounds at police.
Life is just a series of obstacles preventing you from taking a nap.

Same thing in sniper training. If the subject is behind glass, you have two shooters. Both firing at the same time (there is always a slight difference in reaction time), first round breaks the glass, second round is on target.
    Of course, if you're using a .50 it's immaterial!

Good grief. It is much worse than I thought.

    Why?
At least these police are trained to use their weapon's in differant scenarios effectivly, Pretty much the same as we were taught to do in tbe Army.
Whatever it takes to stop people that have absolutely No regard for anyone elses safety is what is needed especially where firearms are involved.
A well trained sniper can adjust his aim to allow for the deflection of a bullet going through glass and still be effective so what is wrong with the police learnig this technique?

Can't you see the paradox in your post?

Still going on, all the time, unabated.
Melbourne members probably read about this one,..an ex kick boxer hoon, unlicensed, with all sorts of, & many, priors, is speeding (100kph+) in a Ferrari without a license, hits another car & kills the 88 y.o. driver. He shows no remorse.
He's been on remand for around 18ms, could be out in around a year. The maximum penalty is 20 years.
