Geez, here in Qld we get things done a bit quicker so we can have some sun.
Todays effort was under half an hour & yesterdays was a bit over three quarters of an hour!

    Yep.
Mum has worked in Hanoi for nearly 5 years and her contract finishes up this month, so we're here until she finishes up and we all come back together.
Back to Hanoi tomorrow arvo, off to Cambodia next weekend, and then another week in Hanoi.
Currently relaxing after a swim and a mojito, waiting to go and collect some nice new leather shoes and a jacket and bag I had made that needed a few alterations and repairs.

Only down south and under quite different circumstances to your current trip.
I believe things have changed considerably in 50 years.

If you have a bit of time up your sleeve, a friend who visited last year strongly recommends one of the HaLong Bay cruises.

I'm pretty sure this happens every year around November but I seem to be finding it more difficult to deal with. I have been blaming Global Warming the past couple of years but SWMBO, our kids & my staff all agree that I'm just getting old, soft & used to sitting in an Air Conditioned office.
    Still think it's Global Warming!

How did people ever live &/or work here before Air Conditioning?

I really feel sorry for the 2 Chippies that are extending my house at the moment, easy to tell the Boss, he's the 1 not on the roof.

    Enjoy your SUMMER.

36 and humid up here in Bamaga. Not as bad as down your way in Doomadgee though mate. Heading down that way soon... Not looking forward to those temperatures though, finding the nights hard to sleep already.

We were on the edge of the hail with only a few random projectiles ricocheting off our rooves, but a few hundred metres to the south you could hear heavy hail clattering on roof tops. Below is a pic of me holding a golf ball with a hail stone beside it. We recorded 30mm of rain, but a mate down the road recorded 65mm, we also lost a few trees, plus a few limbs off others, had an electricity outage that lasted about thirty hours, but in reality nothing compared to some of the devastation that occurred around the district. Roofs ripped from buildings, cars peppered with dents, complete vineyards stripped of every bit of foliage, shade sails ripped from the ground in car parks, and much more.

    Cheers for now,
    Mick.
Jeez, I don't like the look of that at all.
Have you seen many damaged cars,....d'you get much hail up there? After what happened to me I get a bit nervous when I see black clouds.

We're doing a 3 nighter on a vessel there in around 3 weeks so am keeping an eye on the weather there, not that I can do much about it except pack my spray jacket.

We did a two night cruise on a junk on Ha Long Bay and it was great. Sunset on the top deck produced great photos.

Driving north through Grafton yesterday the Mazda said it was 38 degrees outside. Then there was five minutes of rain at Whiporie and the temperature dropped to 28, before rising back to 38 at Casino.
It was a comfortable 24 in the car.

Ha long bay cruises are fantastic. The weather seems pretty variable at the moment.
