It's just an obscure little department in the Gov, and hardly anyone knows of it's existance. Yet I get to travel the country chasing bad guys, and hopefully putting them out of business. And to make things even more obscure even the Pollies are conspiring against us. And in 2007 we will cease to exist..
Then the main bunch of criminals I chase will again reign supreme untill the powers that be remember why they empowered me in the first place. 8) 8)

I think Land Rovers are far to complicated for the small minds of the people who drive Land Cruisers!

I'm not gunna try to guess what sort of Compliance Officer you might be!

I originally thought Fisheries but that's not an obscure department - I've had a commercial fisherman threaten me over a meeting table when I was Marine Manager in Telstra. Pretty scary - those blokes carry guns on their boats, I've seen them when I've been aboard.

    Good luck.

    Tyrepower,
Geez mate maybe you should change your log on name to 007 or Austin Powers. Seriously though no body needs that type of crap and threatening families is low.
Pleeeeeease disregard any of my posts that may have offended you, I will comply. Dont come and take me away in the middle of the night.

No! He works nights - he'll be asleep. Get him on the way home. You need a wire strung across the road (ala Stone) so when he comes rapping through on the Duke....... 8O

    Hmmmm.

National jutisdiction (must be federal govt)
Internal enforcement (rules out external security/intelligence agencies)
Dealing with criminals/'bad guys', have personal interaction with said persons, confidential private details, 'obscure little dept'. (Well rules out all agencies you normally hear of in the press. Think I might stop the reasoning process there eh?)

Exactly. I was pretty annoyed when the D3 I had on test warned me to slow down otherwise it'd lower. My objection is firstly along Chris's lines, and secondly -- I am driving the damn car and if I feel like doing 200kmph at max lift it should damn well let me do it just because I'm the driver, not the design team!
