I've never been to WA, but from what I have heard and seen on the media, why would you consider moving?

We have the opportunity so why not?

Port Elliot's become a little too popular in the last decade.. pretty spot but no longer the village it once was...

It's hard to compare when we've not seen anything of the east coast. Midlife crisis maybe.... went straight from being kids to being parents and have never had any adventures. Wouldn't have to be forever maybe just a couple of years to cross that off the bucket list

True. It has lost a lot. And it is bedlam about now.
I still love the place and the delight around it. Good food, good wine poor coffee.
(Melbourne is still the place for coffee.)

Oh, just a couple of years, I'd go Sydney, then. Maybe somewhere a commutable distance from work. Or a flat close to the CBD.

Relax.
Not be allowed to drink anything but light beer.

Stirling/Aldgate/Bridgewater in the Adelaide Hills. Cooler climate, big trees, excellent road access to the rest of Australia via Hwy One, good public transport, village style town centres with excellent shops, 20 mins to Adelaide CBD or a tad longer in "rush hour". Oh and no McDonalds, yet, no demand.
