    Scammel! A current documentary on cable TV here, "Heavy Haulers" I think it is called.

    Ian, I can't remember the Badger. I am only 80. Did you drive one at the Somme?

    At the Leyland Truck & Bus retail outlet all LR's were registered as "Leyland".

    Wasn't old enough to be at the front Brian, they only let me do the pre-deliveries.
    If you don't like trucks, stop buying stuff.

    [QUOTE=travelrover;3049261]

    George spots them & comes flying off his Shamba waving his cane.

    "Git orf me Rover. Git orf I tell you, Bloody cheek. You scratch me paintwork & I'll have ya balls". Bloody pests, I wish Joy hadn't fed you lot, yer only 'anging around eatin' me out of 'ouse & 'ome. Already you lot have buggered the Drivers Mirror & arm."

    FWIW. I looked at a UK Fillum the other day "Nor the Moon by Night" It featured many S1 Shorties & LWB Rovers. A not so bad story line of some of George's possible acquaintances wildly driving around back roads (may have been Main Roads of South Africa for all I know) of Africa circa 1957. It had been a Radio Serial here years ago & I wondered if was still available. It was. Nor the Moon by Night - Wikipedia Available on You Tube on a TV set near you.

    Some RAN ships carried a Land Rover on the aft deck for shore duties when Overseas. Noah's Ark carried a Badger so he could have been there in support, in fact I eyeballed him.
