Wasn't that big. Early 90s, I was driving an old V8 Benz towing a supermarket delivery size trailer, but it was built up with shelves to carry pot plants, and boy it could get heavy, more than legal often. The Ferry in those days was run by the same mob on the weighbridge, and they knew why I was on the ferry but never said a word.
That Benz was a murderous thing. It had hydraulic over air brakes. I was heading over somewhere near Chain of Ponds and it blew the hydraulic hose from the m/cyl leaving me with nothing. It didn't have any emergency brakes like the yank fully air types. That was fun. I got a Volvo after that.
