    Seen on a few hitches that the tow ball weight is significantly less with the tounge flipped that way, I try and carry that over to all hitches and keep them the other way around.

    I think the weight of the trailer had taken the slack out of the chains. The chains have done a good job keeping the drawbar from contacting the ground.
    If you don't like trucks, stop buying stuff.
