As there were complications she was whisked off to intensive care where she remained for over a month. I used to wake up at night afterwards in a cold sweat dreaming that we did not make the hospital in time. I thanked God for that permanent 4wd system and the diff lock. You don't need fancy videos to sell me on Land Rover.

Oncoming drivers must have got the shock of their lives when faced with that when coming around a bend. Assuming your demisters were still working of course. I know, too much information.

Still it all worked out well in the end.

No other traffic on the road! The hospital could not believe we had travelled so far on frozen roads. And yes everything worked out well...just about!
