There are a few out Wynnum way that are very low.
I don’t risk the van under one of them, from my memory it is around 1.9M clearance.

That one at Buranda, years ago I saw a semi go under it and take the cabs off the three new tractors that were on the trailer.

Someone posted a pic on here recently where two or three brand new Range Rovers got scrunched in the UK doing that.

Another pic was a big Steer poking his head up & looking out just before going into an underpass, it either died or had one heck of a Headache or both.. ( Mel or Syd somewhere). It seems to me that clearance could be 100' with coloured warnings, flashing lights etc but if drivers ain't paying attention or otherwise engaged they'd still prang it.

Thank goodness you can't do that in a Mazda CX3 but I suppose one could do it driving into a Gutter Drain.

From the look of how far he went under I don't think he will need to worry any more.

He’s fine. He was sentenced to 5 years jail but that was later overturned on appeal.

A truck I was in many years ago had a GPS with settings to input the details of the vehicle it was fitted to - height, weight, length, turning circle etc, and picked routes accordingly.

Just lucky that bus drivers sit low down in their bus.

That bridge has its own website for keeping count of its hits.

How many days since the Montague Street Bridge has been hit
    Dave.

I was asked " Is it ignorance or apathy?" I replied "I don't know and I don't care."
