True. Have seen this happen & reckon it is time they reintroduced the Connies, their Ticket Puncher Machine would have made short work of his old chap.
My dad came swimming two weeks ago - Board shorts and a big belly! Tying knots can be tricky with dementia! I didn't notice until a bit late! I tied the board shorts the next day BEFORE he came to "hang out" with out letting it all hang out again

    Ah those were the days.
I still do stand if possible- Most times I get thanks and just a very few times dirty looks. Not fazed by the latter

Pheeeeeeewwwww! I thought you were reprimanding me & that the "Sunnies" was really you.
    Close shave that.

BTW. It's a bit hard to stand in a Mazda CX3.

Unless one copped the one to a Bus ride into the smoke a couple of years ago.

I offered my seat & little old Gladys replied. "You think I am that olde do you? You can't win sometimes.

    ED.

Meant to add, while debating whether she should or should not take the seat, a long haired scruffy yooth nipped in & settled the argument uttering the words "Thanks Mate"

    BASTARD!

My wife’s Dad lived with us for a few months after her Mother died.He was just over 90 yrs old.

More than once we were eating breakfast and he came wandering out of the back room starkers.

He was a great guy,but age does strange things to you.
Something to look forward to I suppose.

Anyway,he didn’t last long,I think he just didn’t want to be here once the other had gone unfortunately.

I think we all are one way or the other.

For me it’s probably been too much phosgene or refrigerants or alcohol or whatever…

If you have a choice always go for Alcohol. Phossie will kill your lungs. whereas Alc. only kills the brain.

My better half keeps showing me research after research suggesting the BIG C is the bigger issue with alcohol. Might grab a beer and sit on that for a while
