I work in Industrial sales. Gases and equipment.

Depending on how shady a character I speak to, saying "I sell gas" can open up some interesting conversations. Sometimes it'd be easier to say I sell 'propane and propane accessories' ala Hank Hill.
Spent my younger years studying medical science, business and HR.

IT Project Manager. Essentially I coordinate teams of people often of different skill sets to achieve a common goal. Typically upgrading a system or commissioning a new system.

I think I would have enjoyed a career in some sort of mechanical engineering so I made it a hobby and bought a bunch of Land Rovers. Who are you and what do you do?!

Metallurgist / Process Engineer. These days semi-retired but still do a bit from home as a consultant, mainly designing ore crushing and mineral processing plants, either new ones or upgrades to existing ones.

Have in past lives been a brake mechanic / workshop supervisor at an auto brake specialist, worked on the railways for a while, and had my own business in heavy haulage industry carting large mining machinery all over the countryside.

Last three vehicles have all been LR Discoveries - current is a D4 ......................... and this one will probably be my last. If I do ever buy another vehicle, it is likely to be a dual cab ute.
    Cheers .........
