    we got about an inch overnight....

    nice to hear rain on the roof as you lay awake in the middle of the night....

    although i prefer sleep most of the time

    I flew to Melbourne for work and thought it would be nice to escape the heat of Brisbane.,.....it was 35 degrees at 8pm (AEDST) in Melbourne last night

    Could be worse - I see it was 46 in Birdsville yesterday, so a good day to lay in the river behind the caravan park and consider how global warming is said to be just a hoax.

    Yeah, people think it doesn't get hot down here, but it does (not very much this Summer so far though). But Ian's right, wait a few minutes...

    they were saying on the local radio around here that they expect 12 all time records to go by the wayside this sunday in qld alone...

    lets hope they are a few degrees on the cooler side, out....

    Yep I chose a great time to organize a picnic in the park on Saturday arvo for the wife's 60th. Better get out the esky and buy ice...

    Been bloody hot here, over 46 today and it hit 47 up the road at Renmark.
    This morning at 6am the wind was that hot it was like it was coming out of a furnace, and it persisted all day. Not real conducive to a productive day. The Land Rover was parked in the shed and had not been going since yesterday morning, but the bonnet felt like it had just done 100 kay trip.
    Autumn and winter are our best seasons here.
