Howdy, bit of an odd one. Last July we had our household water pump replaced after it had an impeller. I believe this was a warranty job.
Our replacement has just died again, it started making unhappy noises so we contacted the plumber who installed it who began to contact the supplier.
Yesterday evening it died totally, and now the supplier is telling us that as it's a warranty replacement we only had a 6 month warranty period, and as it's now outside that period we have to fork out for the replacement. This was information not given to us, nor to the plumber who installed it.
So besides the 6 month warranty on it, does anyone reckon a water pump that only lasts 8 months is fit for purpose? Doing some investigating in regards to consumer law.
