    I might add that I have owned my Disco for 7 years now and I don't feel the need to trade down.

    I'm not professing to be an expert on V8s, but it seems a bit odd in my experience for a blown head gasket to leak coolant externally enough to leave a puddle.

    Does the engine have a misfire on cold starts ?

    Its quite common on a V8 to leak water.It comes out between the head and block at either end, as thats where the water passages are between block and head.
    Thats how my 3.9 went. Caused by a slight warp in head, up at the ends.

    yep mine is leaking at both ends of the block front battery side and back opposite corner.
    She is only dripping about an egg cup full once she is left standing. Besides the green tear left on the floor she runs fine.
