He can, but then he'd be taking 10% longer than his competitors to do the same job.
You want to be a Lindsay Learner?

That is your opinion and has nothing to do with tolls increasing which is well worth his and all`s concern
He is a business owner providing lots and lots of jobs and also transporting most of your goods to your supermarkets and else where.
Do you have any idea in the cost involved in transport of your goods as a consumer i guess not
My opinion is not simply based on tolls, although my comment stands....I have had a substantial involvement in the transport industry, and have a pretty fair idea of the cost of "transporting most of your goods".
I suggest you have a talk to some owner drivers about what they think of him,....if there are any left..
However if you don't agree, that is of course fair enough too.

Lol!!...A difference of opinion never hurt anyone, It's all good mate, it's all good.
Interestingly, the first thing that Fox said,..."I won't be paying, I'll be passing it on",.....not a sign of thinking that he might just absorb even some of the cost himself, from his VAST profits.
I'd like to see some owner drivers, the most hard working, longest hours, decent genuine WORKERS I've ever met, try that attitude with some of their customers?

The majors will pass the costs on but refuse reimbursement for subbies, just like they did with the fuel levy.

I work for the green brand but nothing to do with local transport, we just got an email this morning advising of the new costs that will be passed on to our clients for container haulage.

EXACTLY mate, EXACTLY,......"refuse reimbursement for subbies"?....If I had a dollar for every time I've heard that in my career, I wouldn't be a millionaire, I'd be a MULTI millionaire,....some things never change.

He already does on the Woolworths singles that ply the Hume and the Barton Hwy. Bloody mobile roadblocks that inspire all sorts of dangerous behaviour on the Barton during peak hour for no appreciable safety improvement. B Doubles don't get the speed limiter treatment though, perhaps the delivery time increase is negotiated into the Woolworths contract as these are the trucks that deliver to the stores rather than linehaul.

Wow stores normally have 2 to 3 hour window time. As long as despatcher has given the run out at the scheduled time, he will make the window.
